How do I return or exchange an item?
30 day return policy Print this page for your records. Policies do change. If your product was paid for the return policy at the time of the purchase and 30 days after will be in effect. We log all changes to this policy to the minute.
You may return merchandise purchased at our online store if it meets the guidelines below. Note that these guidelines are not necessarily the same for merchandise purchased at Lightcast Inc physical store locations by via purchase orders.
A receipt dated within 30 days is required for all returns and exchanges. All returns and exchanges must be new, unused and contain all original packaging and accessories. Some items are subject to 20% restocking fee, call and inquire. Products that are defective and/or damaged in shipment to customer will have no restocking fees. Products that are damaged at customer site or dmamaged in return shipment to Lightcast may not be qualify for a return credit. Please visually inspect and test contents within 15 days and call us at 1-886-865-2278 ext 3 if any items are found to be defective or damaged. We will file your call and give you a “Return Material Authorization” (RMA) number. Refunds will be at current prices or prices paid by customer, this is at the option of Lightcast Inc
Exceptions Labor and/or installation services Items that are abused Service activation fees Shipping & Handling charges Opened computer software & embedded device firmware. (To get credit for these items, they must be unopened. If the original is damaged or defective, please see below). Any merchandise missing the original Universal Product Code (UPC) cannot be returned. If the item is damaged or defective, please see details below.
Bundled items that are returned separately for a refund will be subject to the single unit price of the item. Arrangement for a return must be made within 30 days from the date the item is shipped. Check our warranty information for details on returns for repair after 30 days. To receive a refund* you must first obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization code. To avoid delays, boldly print it on the box, and indicate the reason for return. Include all original packing materials, manuals and accessories with the product. Failure to do so may void the refund. We recommend items be returned via FedEx or insured parcel post for proof of delivery. We also require that you re-use the original shipping carton and packing materials. Serial numbers are logged and will need to be present on items. Call for shipping address.
If damage occurred due to shipping, immediately contact the local shipping company manager for his/her review. Pack merchandise carefully and to postal standards to avoid further damage, and complete Return Form with product or call for a new form. Record customer and RA number on the outside of the box. Ship merchandise back to Lightcast Inc.
Items received after the return period plus reasonable shipping time may not be processed. Notification will be sent to the email and/or billing address provided should your return not be accepted. Items will be returned to you upon receipt of your payment of freight charges. Items received without a valid return address will be deemed abandoned if we are not contacted within 30 days.
Missing Item or Damaged Product Fee A missing item or damaged product fee will be charged for any product missing the original box, packaging material, contents, accessories and/or manuals (i.e., any product not in “like new” condition).
Damaged or Defective Items If you return a damaged or defective item by mail or to Lightcast Inc retail location, you will receive a credit. You may then choose to purchase a replacement item in the store or online. Call the retail store ahead of time to ensure that we have the product in stock at that particular location.
Personal Data Please remove all personal data (e.g., wireless phone data, DVR video images, router passwords etc) from any returned products. Lightcast Inc is not responsible for any personal data left on or in these items.
Promotional Items and Rebates Any product that is returned without the promotional item(s) included with the original transaction (e.g., buy cell phone, get free SD card; or buy data card modem, get discounted mobile router) will have the value of the promotional item deducted from the refund amount. Any product that was purchased when a mail-in rebate was available on the purchase is subject to having the amount of the rebate deducted from the refund amount.
Whereas Lightcast Inc will strive to ensure customer satisfaction with the goods/services purchased from our online shopping system Lightcast Inc reserves the right to deny any return.
We will do our best to process the return in a timely manner. Please allow up to 30 days for processing. Refunds will be credited to the original purchasing credit card account number only, or by check when the original purchase was paid by check. All exchanges, returns and refunds are made at the sole discretion of Lightcast Inc.
You are responsible for all freight charges. However, you will be credited all reasonable and customary freight charges relevant to that item if product is damaged in original shipping, defective, or the wrong item was shipped. Please include the postal receipt in your return package. Do not use overnight dellivery, we will only credit for ground services. Tariffs and any international charges or delivery charges on returns are not recoverable for any reason.
